Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia is honored to be the co-organizer of QS WORLDWIDE 2018 which will be held from 22 – 23 May, 2018, in Moscow, Russia. I am sure this unprecedented event will become a site for high-level scientific, academic and cultural events. Hundreds of delegates from Europe, America, Asia and Africa and Oceania are set to gather at our university to discuss three global topics: Rankings as a Tool of Improving Universities’ Competitiveness; Enhancing University Brand – In Dialogue with Media & Corporate Partners; Developing Academic Collaborations and Internationalizing the Faculty.
It is not by chance that Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia has been chosen to be the site for such a premier conference. The university has a great number of international students – 28,000 students from 155 countries worldwide. At this multinational university, you will get a chance to meet colleagues – mathematicians and chemists, linguists and lawyers, ecologists and economists, engineers and medical doctors, agrarians and historians. The multi-level system of education which includes undergraduate, graduate, PhD, and residency programs helps create the conditions needed for the pursuit of quality education at seven faculties, ten institutes, an academy and 156 research laboratories. RUDN students can not only do internships at partner universities. Those enrolled in 130 joint programs have the opportunity to obtain both the RUDN diploma and that of a partner university, and we are open to any further collaboration(s).
Apart from serious work at the plenary sessions and master classes, you will have time to visit Moscow – one of the most beautiful cities in the world, enjoy a play at the famous Moscow theatre and have a tour of the RUDN campus, which is considered to be one of the best in Russia. Academic and residential buildings are within reach from each other on the territory of 50 hectares surrounded by parks. The availability of recreational facilities such as stadiums, gyms, arenas, tennis courts and a ski centre – allow students to do sports all year round and enjoy various after-class activities. On the RUDN University list of alumni (more than 100 000 alumni from 170 countries) are presidents and ministers, hundreds of well-known politicians, entrepreneurs, scientists, and notable figures in culture. RUDN University has established the world’s largest Association of RUDN Alumni and Friends. In 2010, UNESCO awarded the Gold Medal to RUDN University for its invaluable contribution in training specialists for countries with emerging and developing economies. RUDN University is actively engaged in programs and projects of the United Nations Organization and Council of Europe.
One of RUDN University’s best features is the atmosphere of optimism and cooperation, where renowned scholars and students from more than 450 nationalities can work together on their research projects, share knowledge, expertise and ideas.
